Delay for Mephisto 2.1 until 09/01/10

Despite my best efforts i wont be able to release Mephisto 2.1 as announced in the reseller group, because i will be afk during the weekend. So the release date was moved to wednesday, 1st september.

Policy update and news to Mephisto

Because of some changes in the emerald viewer, we are going to shoot an update for the Mephisto HUD. This will also be an advantage for people using the official SL Viewer 2.0, because the interface of the new Mephisto is screwed through alignment mistakes caused by LL. As a result, we will issue 1.5 until we have the time to finish the 2.0 and waiting for the bugfix by LL.

But there will be also a new important change in the ShellShock product range. We noticed that certain sims are becoming popular for content theft and scammers in general. In order to protect our customers against these individuals we are implementing a warning system and a protection unit for the products. The first phase will be a notification system. The second phase is in the planning stages and will involve a failsafe system for the products to even protect them. When sim owners are affected it will be their responsibility to provide proof to ShellShock that they are taking action against scammers in order to get removed from the new system.

Resellers who are located in these regions may wish to work closely with the sim owners to prevent scamming to avoid loosing their reseller status.

News about the Mephisto 2.0

As you noticed, there were some reasons for not updating the manual..

The latest update to version 1.4 brought some new unseen stuff (crusher,mlb) and a better performance. However good performance is not enough. I’d like to introduce the Mephisto 2.0 which will be released within a month.

First, it was time to improve the interface, so it was completly reworked to save prims and scripts. Besides that, information output was replaced through a neat glyph system indicating you the avatar status, the height compared to your position and of course the direction.

The new interface saved, in total 33 prims and 33 scripts. A real rocket improvement from what you know!

Another big change will be the new dialog system bringing you more intuitive usage as well. Furthermore, Mephisto 2.0 will have new unseen modules improving your fighting experience at its best!

During the past time I’ve been quiet busy and that wont change that quickly, so I might ask you for your patience. Within this week we will release an update for Mephisto, mainly for a glitch in the update system, but also covering all the reported bugs. There were no serious bugs reported, however i want them to get fixed before I will run out of time completly for next weeks.

Besides that, I’m working on a new product, however the release allready got moved twice because of the lack of time. As soon as a realistic release date will be announceable, details will be given.

Unscheduled update for ATP – Avatar Teleport System

Because of the heavy product theft, we have to provide a security update for the ATP – Avatar Teleport System. However we’ve been working on the update anyways, but weren’t able to implement all features which were planned. So we were only able to add a speed improvement. That means, that you appear within a second on the chosen avatar even on longer distances beyond 1000m.

Unscheduled update for Mephisto

Because we experienced a heavy case of product theft through the last days, we’ve been forced to release a new version of Mephisto which contains some security fixes. However we even added a lot of performance tweaks and added support for the so called chat radar of the Emerald Viewer.

After the successfull update of Mephisto HUD, we will start over now with updating following products

H4 – Ownage
ATP – Teleport System
Zero-Tolerance

The first two updates will come quickly within the next two weeks but the update for Zero-Tolerance will take some time, because we plan on reworking it from scratch bringing it on the latest level on sl weapons. Suggestions and feedback are welcome and can be given over the contact application.

Date of Mephisto update

With the raising progress of the update, I’m able now to give a properly date of the update. Mephisto 1.2 will be released on the 09/12/09. A full changelog will be given on that date.
